Emergency Preparedness: Here Come the Drones . . .

The use of drones is exploding. They can be small and cheap-- $300. These drones will be used by government, business, and individuals. The thing is that you need to be aware of this and take measures to protect yourself-- privacy and property.

Here are some ideas to defeat unwanted surveillance:

  • Close and cover windows
  • Cover property left outdoors with tarps, netting, or structures
  • Do things under the cover of darkness (This won't help within night vision equipped drones)
  • Keep or do things off-site
  • Install and use structural or natural cover
  • Consider attacking the drone with a drone of your own or a kite (Not as crazy as it sounds)

While there is no way to be 100% protected, be aware and take some counter-measures.

These are really starting to be frightening times. While they are slashing additions to programs for supporting our seniors they are putting funding to these dangerous toys. I can't imagine what our lives are going to be like in 10 years. I appreciate you sharing your tips on this and many other topics. Thanks for your diligence!
