Wild Game Recipes: Creole Catfish





Another wild game recipe, Creole Catfish. Prep time is about 10 minutes.

Here's what you need:

  • 1-2 pounds catfish fillets
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cups cornflake crumbs


Here's what to do:

  • Marinade the catfish in a mix of buttermilk and Cajun seasoning
  • Coat fillets with cornflake crumbs
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  • Bake fillets on a baking sheet lightly coated with Pam for 15-20 minutes


Creole Tartar sauce:

  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon relish
  • 1/2 teaspoon of fresh ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 dash of Tabasco
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Mix and chill
