Cooking From Scratch: Some Ideas (Cheats) With Salsa

Here is a quick idea-- Lately, I have been used salsa as a "cheat" to jazz up meals. While I have a salsa recipe (Cooking From Scratch: How to Make Your Own Homemade Chunky Salsa ), I have used some Tostitos Brand I got on a ridiculous sale. Here is what I have been doing:

  • Mixing it into scrambled eggs
  • Serving as a side to over-easy eggs
  • Using as a chicken marinade before grilling
  • Cooking it with tilapia (any white flaky fish) and lemon and lime juice

Effectively, you are adding spicy tomato, onion, and green pepper flavor into meals-- fast.
