What to Do if You Are Short Cash, But Long Time and Effort . . .

Use elbow grease . . . there is really no excuse to not succeeding in your endeavors be they personal, professional, or otherwise-- if you are willing to use your time and effort. I am going to share using elbow grease in a professional scenario.
Recently, I had a conversation with someone at work (who can help me) regarding growing my business and I explained to them that I needed them to think "outside the box". I explained that I needed growth, but I couldn't throw cash at the situation-- I needed solutions that used the things that I had-- time and effort. That is what we are doing, using good old fashioned elbow grease. Here is what we are doing:
- I am spending more time with existing clients seeking more business and referrals
- I am spending more time on other inputs I can control
- Initiating new contacts and reviving old contacts
- I am utilizing "free" company resources more
- Finally, my colleague is seeking public relations opportunities for me as opposed to paid advertising
Hey-- I'm frugal! There have been many times I have employed this sort of "cashless" strategy with good to great success-- in both corporate and entrepreneurial situations.
