Here is a very simple travel, pre-trip to-do list:

• Pay bills ahead
• Get rid of perishables and garbage
• Water your plants, veggies and trees
• Feed or arrange care for pets
• Leave selected lights on
• Be sure doors are locked
• Adjust thermostat appropriately
• Mail and newspapers should be stopped or picked up
• Other services stopped or postponed
• Travel itinery, tickets, directions, passports, permits, licenses, paperwork
• Money, credit cards, travelers checks
• ID (Photocopies)
• Contact lists (Addresses and phone numbers)
• Clothing and footwear weather, climate, activity, and event specific
• Luggage
• Toiletries and medications or vitamins
• Camera
• Hats, Sunglasses, walking shoes
• Chargers for electronics

Again, this is a simle list, but if you are going to a specific destination, you will probably need some more detailed planning, I will go a little further in some future posts.
