Slow Cooker Recipes: Beef Stew in the Crock Pot

We are making this one tomorrow.  I love "set it and forget it" meals, here is my wife's beef stew in the crock pot recipe . . .

Here's What You Need:

  • 1-2 lbs. of stew meat
  • 3-6 sliced carrots
  • 2 sliced onions
  • 1/4 cup of red wine
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ginger
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 1 can tomato soup

Here's What to Do (Prep time is about 10 minutes):

  • We don't brown our meat, but you can if you want
  • Put all ingredients into crock pot and set at low for eight (8) hours or on high for five (5) hours
  • Stir occasionally-- once an hour if possible

Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.  I like worchestershire sauce on mine.

It's that easy . . . and tastes great!
