Fishing Tip: Use the "Off-Season" Wisely
For some of us in the Northeast, aside from "hard water" or ice fishing, this is our "off-season". What should dedicated fisherman being doing in the off-season? Here are some ideas:
- Clean your gear
- Repair your gear
- Lube your reels
- Reline your reels or at least splice on some more line
- Organize your rods and reels, lures, and other gear
- Replace broken and damaged gear beyond repair
- Add gear-- lures, tackle, and rods (what I am adding in the off-season)
I am very eager to get back out, but still a month or two to wait . . . as for my friends down South, and elsewhere-- I envy you right now.
