How to Buy Things Quietly

When it comes to making purchases, it pays to careful and keep a low profile. These days privacy and personal safety are much harder to come by. However, there are ways of beating Big Brother and the bad guys. Here are some thoughts:
- Spread your cash in different pockets and try to keep different amounts in different pockets-- when paying for something pull the amount that is just enough so it looks like you don't have much more
- When keying in PINs cup your hand or cover the keypad in some fashion-- remember overhead cameras
- Use proxies-- Buy through a business account or other account that doesn't clearly identify you or where you live
- Do exchange purchases-- Have a friend buy what you want and you buy what they want
- Purchase in different places-- Even alternate locations of the same store
- Provide phony numbers and addresses to store clerks if saying that it is "unlisted" won't suffice
These days it pays to be careful. Marketers and nosey acquaintances are always watching. Furthermore, there are always degenerates looking to rip other people off-- don't make it easier for them.
