Woodheat Tips: How to Clean Your Woodstove
Many self reliant people use wood to heat their homes. Some rely on firewood for all heating and some simply supplement or offset their oil, gas, or electric heat with woodheat. Here are some wood heat tips on how to clean your woodstove:
- Remove ash regularly
- Use a wirebrush where there is build up
- Razor blade the glass to get stubborn build up
- Vacuum any excess ash, soot, or "crumbs" inside and out
- Clean the flue out with a brush and vacuum
That's pretty much it!
