Woodheat Tips: Where to Get Firewood?

My son once asked where I get all this wood for firewood (he and his siblings have been doing quite a bit of stacking in recent months).  I said good question, and even better answer:

  • I get on the property from downed trees that haven't rotted
  • I advertise for it at the supermarket with signs that I make
  • People give it to me, because they know I want it and they don't
  • My wife and I are always looking for piles curbside

But best of all, I get it all free . . . my only cost is processing it, which I actually like to do.
