Cooking From Scratch: Asian Horseradish Marinade

The other day I mentioned a new twist to one of my marinades and I wanted to share it (Once Again, Eating at Home is Better . . . ). I call it Asian Horseradish Marinade. It is g-o-o-o-d.
I love horseradish as a condiment, but here I use it as a core ingredient. I used it on beef in this recipe, but it should work on pork and chicken as well. Don't worry about it being too hot . . . it adds zing, but doesn't over power the meat. I add more horseradish on my plate to add the "pop" on beef,
My advice is to go with one tablespoon the first time, and up it the next. I highly recommend letting any marinade have time to properly "sink in" to the meat.
Here's what you need:
- 1/3 cup of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of ginger powder
- 1 tablespoon of hot horseradish or wasabi
- 1 tablespoon of worchestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt
- 1 dash of salt
- 1 dash of pepper
Here's what to do:
- Mix all ingredients
- Marinade beef over night (I did two nights)
Prep time is two minutes.
Enjoy!
