Woodheat Tips: What to Burn Indoors and What to Burn Outdoors
Many self reliant individuals use woodheat, indoors and outdoors. The big question is what can or should I burn indoors and what should I burn outdoors. Here are some simple guidelines.
- Indoors:
- Burn seasoned wood
- Newspaper
- Avoid pine or unseasoned wood
- Never burn treated wood
- Don't burn color papers, glued bindings, and plastics
- Outdoors:
- Burn any wood
- Burn any paper or magazine
- Use only seasoned, untreated wood for cooking and marshmallows
