Cooking From Scratch: How to Make Your Own Fish Stock





Want to make fresh and tasty seafood broth?  Make your own fish stock.  Prep time is under 10 minutes.

Here's what you need:

  • Leftover shrimp shells or fish bones and skin (No heads)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, cut
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • Dash of parsley
  • Dash of garlic salt
  • Dash of salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • Enough cold water to cover the shells or bones and vegetables


Here's what to do:

  • Bring to a boil
  • Simmer for several hours
  • Strain
  • Store
