Self Motivation: Want to Get Better at Something?

If you want to get better at something . . . you need to work or play with someone better than you
at the thing you want improve. This include activities that build your self reliance "muscles".

Let's use tennis as an example . . . If you play someone with skills beneath yours, you are getting exercise, but you aren't challenged.

If you play at your level, you get a workout and maybe a challenge.

However, if you play a better player . . . you have to stretch and grow to win-- you improve!

This principle applies to anything, including:

  • Career
  • Personal finance
  • DIY projects
  • Personal growth

So, start stretching and challenging yourself.  Learn from those who are more accomplished than you.

Soon you will be on their level and you will need to look for new challenges.
