Cooking From Scratch: How to Make Your Own Chicken Stock

Want to make fresh and tasty chicken broth? Make your own chicken stock. Prep time is under 10 minutes.
Here's what you need:
- Leftover bones and skin from a chicken
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 celery stalk, cut
- 1 carrot, sliced
- Dash of parsley
- Dash of garlic salt
- Dash of salt
- Dash of pepper
- Enough cold water to cover the carcass and vegetables
Here's what to do:
- Bring to a boil
- Simmer for several hours
- Strain
- Store
This is a good substitute for water when making rice or pasta.
