Cooking From Scratch: How to Make Your Own Chicken Stock





Want to make fresh and tasty chicken broth?
  Make your own chicken stock.  Prep time is under 10 minutes.

Here's what you need:

  • Leftover bones and skin from a chicken
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, cut
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • Dash of parsley
  • Dash of garlic salt
  • Dash of salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • Enough cold water to cover the carcass and vegetables


Here's what to do:

  • Bring to a boil
  • Simmer for several hours
  • Strain
  • Store


This is a good substitute for water when making rice or pasta.
