Cooking From Scratch: How to Make Your Own Homemade Lemonade

We love homemade everything-- it tastes great and usually costs much less.
Drinks are big in our house-- lemonade included.

Here's what you need:

  • 2 quarts of water
  • 6 lemons
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • Plenty of ice

Here's what to do:

  • Bring one cup of water and one cup of sugar (more or less to taste) to a boil stir occasionally to dilute the sugar
  • Squeeze six lemons-- you should get about one cup
  • Put the sugar water and the lemon juice into a two quart container
  • Top off the container with cold water and ice
  • Shake and serve

It will beat the powder mixes every time!

Enjoy.
