Cooking From Scratch: How to Make Your Own Homemade Horseradish





I love horseradish-- the hotter, the better.
Here is a quick recipe (about 10 minutes prep time) for you to make your own homemade horseradish:

Here's what you need:

  • 1 cup of horseradish peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup of white Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 3 dashes of salt (or more to taste)
  • Dash of sugar
  • Dash of cayenne pepper


Here's what to do:

  • Put ingredients into blender
  • Set for chop or puree (Depends on how thick you want it)
  • Chill and serve


Add a little mayonnaise and some sour cream, and you have a sauce . . .

Try this on:

  • Steak/Beef
  • Burgers
  • Chicken
  • Fish (Especially shellfish)
  • Eggs
