The New Reality . . . Self Reliance

We are returning to a time long ago when you had to be more responsible for yourself.
That's actually a good thing. These days we are more personally responsible for our:

  • Retirement (401k's and not company pensions)
  • Careers (Multiple jobs, many are short term)
  • Health and well being (You are one of hundreds of patients in your doctor's office)
  • Personal safety (Dialing "911" should be a last resort)
  • Protecting ourselves from government (Regulations and taxes)

Stop and think for a moment . . . you will see what I mean. We need to strive to be more self reliant, self sufficient, and more independent.

The best person to rely upon to take care of you and yours is YOU! This is a return to an early time when family, friends, and neighbors were who you turned to in times of trouble. In recent decades, we were enticed to believe that government and big companies would take care of our troubles-- that was a false sense of security. What to do?

  • Accept the new reality
  • Prepare and plan to deal with it
  • Always look out for yourself
  • Consider using the ideas found here on the Self Reliance Workshop

It won't be easy, but at least you will know where you stand . . . in the new reality of self reliance.
