Cooking From Scratch: How to Make Your Own Homemade Chunky Salsa

There is nothing like homemade, Chunky Salsa.  Prep time is about 12 minutes.

Here's what you need:

  • 5 tomatoes, chopped
  • 5 peppers, chopped (Your choice-- mixed is best in my book)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1-2 clove of garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of parsley or cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 quart of water
  • Dash of salt
  • Dash of pepper

Here's what to do:

  • Bring water to a boil
  • Add tomatoes and peppers for 10 minutes
  • Strain and discard water
  • Mix all ingredients
  • Chill

Serve cold. Great for football viewing!
