Cooking From Scratch: How to Make Your Own Homemade Brown Gravy

Here is a quick how to make your own homemade brown gravy recipe. Prep time is about ten minutes.
Here's what you need:
- 1/2 cup of flour
- 2 tablespoons of butter or drippings (from a roast)
- 1 small diced onion
- 2-3 cups of beef broth/stock
- Dash of salt and/or pepper to taste
Here's what to do:
- Melt the butter
- Add onion and salt and pepper
- Work in the flour
- Slowly mix/whisk in the broth
- Gradually increase until it boils
- Reduce and simmer until serving
Nice on beef, pork, chicken, or vegetables.
Enjoy.
