I am a big fan of self reliance and self sufficiency-- most frugal people are, especially those who also value quality of life.  There are other characteristics that tend to be linked to these ideas and I thought I would share them.  Many of them were exhibited by our founding fathers, hence my opening question.  Are you:

• Independent minded and a free thinker?
• Known for your ingenuity and resourcefulness?
• A saver and austerity minded?
• Entrepreneurial and industrious?
• Small government minded and freedom craving?

If you are blessed with these traits, I am sure Ben Franklin smiles upon you.  These characteristics go a long way to financial freedom, wealth building, and a quality of life we all deserve.

Our founding fathers didn't like being at the mercy of others, nor do I, and I am pretty sure none of the readers of the Self Reliance Wirkshop care for lack of financial and personal freedom either.

What can you do?  Take small steps, but take them today.  Find small ways to:

• Make more money
• Save more money
• Value your time and money
• Invest in your future
• Learn to help yourself
• Be more self reliant, sufficient, and empowered

Our founding fathers literally put their necks on the line-- make them proud!
