What if the Grocery Store Was Bare?

What if you went into town to the grocery store and the shelves were bare?  Most grocery stores have about 3-6 days worth of inventory-- what would you do if they weren't there? Are you prepared?

I have touched on this topic before . . . I am not talking about "The End of the World as We Know it" (EOTWAWKI), but I am talking about a serious disruption.  Hogwash, you say?  What kind of disruption?

  • Terrorist attacks
  • Natural disasters
  • Medical emergencies
  • Strikes, boycotts, or embargoes
  • Rationing or restrictions

I think you get the idea . . .

So, what would you do? Raid the:

  • Frig
  • Freezer
  • Pantry

Then what? Do you:

  • Have a garden?
  • Fish?
  • Hunt?
  • Have canned goods?
  • Have long-term stores and provisions?

Have you even considered the possibility?  Do you have a plan?  Perhaps you should start thinking about self reliance and self sufficiency-- even in a small way.
